Building Amenities

Federal Reserve Plaza offers a host of building amenities, from our award-winning Roof Garden and our many interior and exterior gardens, to our 24/7 Fitness Center, to our golf and softball leagues, the Book Club, Toastmasters, Weight Watchers, even regular chair massages in the Health & Wellness Center.  We view our setting as a community, and there are a lot of activities in our “neighborhood.”

Modern Art Collection

The Federal Reserve Bank's modern art collection is displayed throughout the building and is available for loan in tenant firm offices. The renowned collection features American art since the 1950's and includes major works by artists such as Helen Frankenthaler, Frank Stella and Michael Mazur.

Fitness Center

Membership at the Fitness Center offers you many healthy benefits, including an orientation with a certified trainer, customized program design, group fitness classes, and a variety of wellness programs.  Men’s and women’s showers and locker areas are adjacent to the Fitness Center.

  • Contact your tenant representative to obtain the membership forms for the Fitness Center, which should be forwarded to Gary Wells .
  • Contact the Health & Wellness Center  to schedule a brief medical interview (617.973.3181).  Medical clearance is necessary for Fitness Center membership.

Access to the Fitness Center and to the basketball and squash courts is provided automatically through your badge ID once your membership is approved; (usually within 24 hours).

  • Contact Leah  to schedule an appointment for a Fitness Center Orientation (617.973.3679). Be sure to bring your medical clearance with you.

Basketball and Squash Courts

There are a basketball located on tower floor 34 and a squash court located on tower floor 36. The courts may be used by Fitness Center members with card access, and are available by reservation weekdays 6am – 7pm (last reservation 6:30pm). Men’s shower and locker facilities are available on T34; women’s facilities are on T35. To reserve a court, contact Fitness Center Manager:  Leah Atkinson, at 617.973.3679.

Research Library

The Research Library offers a collection of over 70,000 items including books, journals and online resources focusing on economics, monetary policy, and banking.

Visitors are welcome to use our public PCs to search our online catalog and databases. Library staff is available to assist in identifying and using research tools.

Materials will be lent out only through Inter-library Loan requests via your company, school or public librarian.

The Research Library also distributes Research Department publications. Some are on display in the Library and are available free of charge.

The Federal Reserve Bank of Boston offers a variety of publications and audiovisual materials about money, banking, and the economy, for a range of audiences from elementary school to graduate school levels. All audiovisual materials are available on a free-loan basis and most publications are available at no charge. To obtain a free catalog of all Federal Reserve publications and audiovisual materials, call 617.973.3989.
